This B Flat cornet is in fair condition. The case exterior is in good condition, and the interior is fair.  There is a patch on the inside of the crook (see pic).

I do not play brass but was able to confirm it makes a sound. All slides and valves are in good working order. There is one small dent on the top of the big curve, and the mouthpiece end is slightly deformed (see last two pics). Other than that, it is great shape for over 110 years old. I definitely have put some work into cleaning it up.

This model was built sometime between 1906- 1910, when Conn was still owned by Colonel. Some cornet experts believe the patent for this valve design was destroyed by a factory fire in 1911, consequently producing the new invention, the Circus Bore model.

The cornet has a unique B Flat/A mechanism, that, in C.G Conn's patent application he describes the objective as to, "provide a mechanism which will enable the cornetist at a single movement to instantaneously change the pitch of the instrument and at the same time, and by the same movement, adjust all the valve slides."
