Bitter orange peel comes from a cousin of the Florida orange native to Spain that was transplanted to the Curaçao island in the Caribbean Sea. This variety of orange has a full orange flavor and a pleasant bitterness. It makes a great addition to spiced cider, mead or beer including strong Belgian White ales.
