Auto harmonizing function ideal for guitar playing

Connect a guitar to the VE-2 and sing along, and it automatically analyzes the chord progression. It can follow modulations and non-diatonic chords in a song and add the best harmony to your singing voice. Even if you do not play the guitar, you can easily generate harmonies by specifying the key of the song using the knob.

In the hybrid mode, the key and guitar chords specified by the knob are detected and optimized harmonies are generated, allowing for more complex guitar playing. The Harmonist function is intuitive and can be used without knowledge of equipment or music theory.

Harmony Variations to Suit Different Styles

VE-2 has 12 harmony types that add one or two voices to your voice, making it easy to select voicings that suit different genres and styles. Each harmony type also offers variations that further thicken the sound and create gorgeous resonances. From light coloration to rich ensembles, the VE-2 makes it easy to take your sound up a notch.

Simple operation and easy-to-use interface

The VE-2 is a simple-to-use harmonist that can be used intuitively even by those not familiar with sound equipment. Basic operation is done with buttons and knobs, and the harmony type indicator shows at a glance what kind of harmony is currently on the instrument, making it easy to find the sound you are looking for.

You can also save up to three favorite settings on the unit and recall them at the touch of a button. By connecting an optional footswitch (BOSS FS-6/FS-5U), the VARIATION button can be turned ON/OFF and MEMORY can be switched during performance.

Equipped with essential vocal sound-making effects

The VE-2 is equipped with essential basic effects for vocal sound making. In the echo section, a high-quality reverb and delay (which can be used simultaneously) can be used intuitively by simply turning a knob. The Enhance button can also be used to equalize the input level of vocals for a more refined sound.

The XLR input jacks provide phantom power for studio-level recording with a condenser microphone.

Connect to a PC for Vocal Recording

While recording harmonies and enhancing vocals in real time usually requires very complex settings, the VE-2 can easily be connected to a PC via a USB cable and used with DAW software as usual to record vocals with harmonies and effects. The loopback function allows you to mix the backing track from the PC with the vocal from the microphone. Besides its use as an effector to enhance the vocalist's voice, it is also very useful for recording, composing, and other music production.
