Spohn Performance does it again...you asked for it, we built it!
The other brands on the market require you to remove your interior and drill multiple holes through your floor pan to install their driveshaft safety loop...no one wants to do that!
Our driveshaft safety loop for the 1984-1992 GM F-Body Camaro and Firebird requires the use of a polyurethane transmission mount. This provides for two mounting holes, in place of the single mounting hole on the factory transmission mount.
We supply a template to mark and drill two 7/16" holes through your factory transmission crossmember. Our driveshaft safety loop mounts to the underside of the factory transmission crossmember.
You simply place the supplied 7/16" bolts and washers through the driveshaft safety loop's mount, through the factory transmission crossmember, and then thread in to the polyurethane transmission mount (required).
That's all there is to it, no interior removal, and no drilling of multiple holes through the floor pan of your pride and joy. You'll have peace of mind, and you'll be drag strip legal.
It's available powder coated in your choice of bright red or gloss black for a brilliant and durable finish.
Fitment Note: It will only fit with a 1984-1992 GM F-Body factory 700R4 or T-5 transmission crossmember. It will NOT work with aftermarket transmission swap crossmembers. Fits with maximum 3.0" diameter driveshafts.
