 An antique Ilco ( Independent Lock Co. ) deadbolt. Face of deadbolt reads, in partial, "Licensed Under Falks Patent No. 1287932". Hefty lock works as it should. In good overall condition. Nice knurled inner knob with push-button...enabling one from the inside to lock-out anyone with a key. I've had it in my collection for decades, and it's now time to allow someone else to enjoy as much as I have throughout the years. For your consideration.... A obsolete 1920/30's authentic Best "4-PIN" padlock. This little gem is rarely seen nor found today. Specific photo taken from my 1926 Best catalog...clearly depicting the style padlock being offered. Special operating details of this lock - Key shown will operate lock.. as well as remove the core! Upon fully inserting operating key... once key is pulled back one key depth.. the core can now be released. Generally, as most collectors are aware of, Best and other SFIC locks come with two keys, one to operate and one (Control key) to remove the inner core. Also, take note to "Protected by Basic Patents" stamped between the shackle. As an advanced Lock Collector myself, this lock will make a fine addition to anyone's collection! Condition - Overall good cosmetic and mechanical condition...with normal surface scratches...consistent with age.
