This is an excellent pair of large, complete Elderdgeops rana from the Middle Devonian of New York. This distinct specimen was found years ago at the famous Penn-Dixie Quarry, and has been in the Butterfield Collection for decades. Both complete trilobites are inflated and exhibit fine detail - the individual facets of the eyes and the pustulose glabellas are very well preserved. The dark-colored bugs contrast beautifully with the light grey matrix. And, best of all, there is NO RESTORATION to either fossil! This is a very displayable and collectible specimen of Eldredgeops from New York.
