Description A superb large genuine antique solid sterling silver and enamelled spoon by the famous silversmith David Andersen (1843-1901) in lovely condition and with Norwegian silver hallmarks and dating from around 1900. Lovely quality and a good size, decorated with beautiful turquoise enamelling on the tear-drop bowl and the stem and with a white beaded border around the bowl edge. Measures approx 5.25 inches (134mm) in length; the bowl measures 1.5 inches x 1.2 inches. Weighs approx 23 grams and has no added personal engraved inscriptions. A very nice example.
Date Antique Norwegian solid sterling silver, stamped with a "925" Sterling" silver hallmark and has the "pronged" mark of the silversmith David Andersen (1843-1901). 100% guaranteed antique silver and dates from around 1900.
Condition Lovely condition with no splits or solid repairs and no knocks or dents, a very nice genuine antique example. Superb quality and beautifully decorated, the enamelling is in great condition, just a couple of very minor nibbles/losses, really nothing much at all (see photos) and the white beaded border is undamaged.
