The Beatles were perhaps the most inventive and imaginative bands of all time. Their appearance on the music scene created a fan following that is prominent to this day. Of the hundreds of Beatle memorabilia items made from lunch boxes to quilts, the most sought after items are the licensed silver coins. Primarily because the mintage types and the numbers of each were limited. In addition, the authorizations date back decades. Such is the case with this "Yellow Submarine" pure silver coin minted in 1999 by Subafilms, Ltd., in conjunction with the Beatles movie of the same name. These rarely appear for sale because people tend to hang onto them once acquired.

The original sales blister pack was discarded for this one, so the .999 pure silver coin No. 0195 ( a very early mintage of the 10,000 punched out) is offered in the original box. The mintage descriptor picture is from another item and is not included, added for informational purposes. The coin is in superb condition, very shiny (kept in a desicated environment) and if handled it is not very apparent to the eye, any physical issues are most likely due to the press or package handling, even the capsule is very clear and was opened for pictures only. The dark areas in the picture background are reflections from the mirror like finish of the camera lenses. The best pictures I could get show there are no significant physical abnormalities. Rarely on Ebay, a nice silver piece for people collecting Beatle silver coins. Priority shipping with insurance is around $20 from CA, not inconsequential, so buyer pays about half.

NOTE:  There are colorized , non-licensed, knock-offs from Japan available on Ebay, however Subafilms, Ltd confirms that no colorized versions were minted. So, "Roll Up For The Mystery Tour".
