Castle Nut style 36mm M24 x 1.5 axle nut for 1946-79 Beetle, Ghia, Type 3, and Thing. Alternate part numbers 311501221, 111501221, 16-2422-0, 87-1643-0.

Forged steel axle nuts are plated for rust protection and is compatable with all air cooled VW beetle, ghia, thing, fastback and squareback. Uses a 36mm socket for install/removal.
Axle nut torque spec is 250 ft-lbs, then always tighten until the cotter pin fits through.
