This maker of this stunning handcrafted bowl used the sommerso ("submerged") technique to crisply define the purple color from the clear glass base. Signed by the artist but I can't decipher the name - please see last photo. Dated 1987. Dimensions: roughly 5.25 inches tall, 10.75 inches across the top, 1.75 inches across the bottom. Gorgeous design and craftsmanship!
