Ballet In Blue, 1968 16mm Sound Print Directed by Dick Kuhne

This 16mm film print, distributed by (but likely not produced by) Paramount Pictures, was created in 1968. There is little documentation available about the production of this film, but it features excellent aerial photography of Art Scholl doing what he did best. The film focuses on the photography, and while it discusses Mr. Scholl's career, it is essentially a vanity piece that showcases his flying skills.

Art Scholl was a well-known American aerobatic pilot, aerial cameraman, and stunt pilot. Born on December 24, 1931, he gained fame for his precise and daring aerobatic maneuvers. Scholl ran a flight school and an aviation business and became widely known in the 1970s and 1980s.

Art Scholl contributed significantly to the film industry by performing aerial stunts and capturing aerial footage for movies. He worked on several high-profile films, including "The Right Stuff" and "Blue Thunder." Tragically, Scholl died on September 16, 1985, during the production of the movie "Top Gun." While performing an inverted flat spin for a camera sequence, his plane crashed into the Pacific Ocean, and neither his body nor the aircraft was recovered. His death was a significant loss to the aviation and film communities.

Shipping Policy
Due to ever increasing postage costs, shipping is charged separately rather than hidden in the item's price. This method is more equitable, allowing customers closer in proximity to benefit from reduced shipping costs. For orders with multiple items, I'm happy to offer combined shipping (which can further save on shipping expenses).
