I am listing for sale, an EXCEPTIONAL, EXTREMELY RARE, Antique 1939, New York Worlds Fair, Tapestry Purse. This unique Purse, has the Fair Park Scene, featuring the Iconic Trylon and Perisphere, woven into the fabric. The Emblem of the 1939 New York Worlds Fair. The scene is surrounded with woven red Roses. The Purse has a brass Frame and Chain, that is gold washed. Much of the gold wash is worn. Two brilliant saphire blue, Glass Stones, adorn the Closure Clasps. The Claps close, and stay closed, but don't snap shut. The inside has its Original creamy gold silk Lining. The Purse is both Charming and fun.
It is in very good condition. No stains, holes or tears. As stated, this delightful Purse is EXTREMELY RARE. It was only made to sale, as a souvenir, during the 2 years, of the 1939 New York Worlds Fair. This is the reason, that this Purse is so hard to find. The Purse measures approximately 5 1/2"×6". This 80 year old Purse is a must, for any Purse or Worlds Fair collector.
