ANTIQUE VINTAGE ART DECO MONDAINE VANITY BOOK BLUE LEATHER COMPACT W/MIRROR

Circa 1930 Mondaine "vanity book" compact with rouge and powder, 2 3/4" x 1 3/4" x 1/4", brass frame with dark blue leather cover decorated with an impressed Art Deco design, MONDAINE marked on the "spine" and in the lower corner of the top. Push button opener reveals a small beveled mirror and a pan of rouge with a small puff and slightly larger pan of powder with its own puff. Some of the clear cellophane covering still on the rouge. Both puff applicators have been used, some darkening and spots on the mirror. Brass frame has dark patina, blue leather cover is starting to split on the "spine" and the gold of the stamped decoration is worn away.
