This is for a nice old Compensated Barometer in its original leather case. It has a detailed face which is clearly marked with the makers name, A. Frank Ltd, opticians, Manchester and the outer ring of markings are moved by turning the protruding knob on the top. The casing is gilded and it is in excellent condition, with surface wear only and it is fully working, i have checked it by pressurising it within a bag and the hand moves. The barometer measures 40mm (1.5") in diameter and as stated has its case which is in excellent condition. The barometer would have had a suspension ring and this is missing.
