Stunning, Antique Victorian (circa 1875) "Lady" Doorknob with Rare Matching Escutcheon (Backplate), Likely Produced by AG Newman and Supposedly Depicting Civil War Hero Nurse Clara Barton 

I could only find 1 example of this matching escutcheon; other examples show a round rosette with less Victorian ornamentation.

Note: Camera defaults suggest a gray/green patina (especially in the photos with the red background), but knob and escutcheon are actually a gorgeous brown. The last 2 photos (side views) are much closer to the actual color.

Knob measures 2" in diameter; escutcheon measures 3.5" tall x 2.5" at its widest (bottom).
