Pair of charming antique owl fireplace andirons. Model 407 E marked on both andirons. Cast iron with some superficial rust. One owl has a deep pock mark plus a hole in the edge; see photo.
Marked as is due to the condition of the eyes. The glass eyes are very cute but there are some issues - 1 eye is missing, 2 eyes have major cracks but are still secured in place. 1 eye is intact. The eyes are clear with black centers. The little metal brackets securing the eyes are removable (not rusted in place).
The owls will be unbolted from the stands so allow for more economical shipping (need a half inch socket wrench to reattach).
