Offered at Auction, an unusual Antique Microscope Slide of Selected Diatom Forms "Terpsinoe Intermedia (abnormal forms) ~ Salt Marshes near Mobile Alabama, USA" by early English Diatomist Henry Morland. Unusually, various views of this form are shown. Morland is best known as being the first diatomist to study the many beautiful and unique forms from Oamaru, New Zealand. Slides by Morland are scarce.

All auction images were taken from the actual slide(s) using various methods and techniques appropriate to the specimen. These include Brightfield, Darkfield, Oblique, Crossed Polarizing Filters (Polariscope) with and without Selenites, Phase Contrast, DIC, etc.
