This rare antique general store coffee bin dates back to the late 19th or early 20th century and features a beautifully curved front with an ornate lithographed scene. The artwork depicts two Asian figures in traditional attire, rendered in a romanticized Victorian style common to the era's decorative tins.
Features:
- Material: Tin/metal construction
- Design: Sloped lid with original or period porcelain knob. Screw used in knob may be a modern replacement.
- Art: Colorful lithograph featuring two Asian figures in an interior setting, with rich architectural and textile details
- Condition: Authentic wear from age, with visible surface patina, paint loss, and some rust (see photos) – a beautiful example of aged character. Tin is separating on the right side edge as seen in one of the up close photos.
- Dimensions: Roughly 19" x 17" x 15" at it's most distant edges
This bin would have originally held bulk coffee in a general store and now makes a striking decorative piece for collectors of advertising tins, coffee memorabilia, or antique Asian-inspired decor.
