An antique French Napoleon III ormolu & glass memento, keepsake or patch box standing 0.9 in (23 mm) high including the four ball feet.
It has a mximum length of 1.5 ins (38 mm) and a width of 1.15 in (29 mm).
The lid is made from bevelled glass and has a snap shut closure.
The has a buttoned silk cushion base with silk lined walls. The silk was originally pink but has faded and the base has some fraying.
The box stands on four small ball feet and is covered in black card or paper.
Overall it is in good condition and would make a very welcome addition to anyone's collection.
