Antique Cigar Box, Late 1800’s Old Virginia Cheroots Wooden, Tax Stamped EMPTY
This late 1800s antique cigar box is a must have for any collection. Not only is this great for cigar box collectors, but early Americana and African-American collectors as well with the depiction of an black man on the top and on the inside top cover.
The lid is FRAGILE! It is literally holding on by a thread. And box still has 70% of the original paper on it, and needs to be kept out of the humidity to maintain the paper.
This is the best cigar box I own, and I have a lot! It’s not impossible to find these boxes, but they are rare. I have seen them, but most not in this good of condition.
