This is an original antique colour print, taken from The Encyclopaedia Britannica, Thirteenth Edition, Volume I, published in 1926.
The plate is titled: “America” and features cultural artefacts including a sepulchral clay urn, stone sculptures, and painted vessel—a fascinating visual survey of historic American civilizations.
This print also has an illustrated plate on the reverse (see all listing photos), and has been carefully removed from its original binding. It is ready for mounting and framing.
There is light age discolouration and minor handling marks, as expected of a piece over 80 years old—these naturally contribute to its authentic vintage charm when framed.
Approx. Size: 8" × 11" 🏺 A superb addition to any collection of early 20th-century academic art, anthropological illustration, or educational décor in homes, cafés, classrooms, libraries, hotels, or study spaces
This is a genuine antique original, not a modern reproduction.
