Estate find – sold as is.
An antique German violin by Theodor Berger, 1918, bearing the maker's label, the back length is 36 cm (14 in.), and it comes with a vintage hard case -
selling for restoration.
Please review the photos carefully to assess the condition. I can spot four cracks on the top plate, which were repaired at some point. The back plate has lacquered scuffs. The ribs along the edges of the front and back plates have spots where the glue doesn't hold them togather (to spots, about 4” long each). One spot on the edge of the top plate is moderately damaged.
Please request any additional info if needed before bidding.
I may reuse packing materials to reduce waste.
