This is a listing for an authentic apothecary "show globe", which was a symbol/sign indicating a pharmacy in English-speaking countries. They were often hung and filled with a brightly colored liquid to draw attention. This example from the 1890s features a solid brass base and its original glass globe. A rare and beautiful found object.
The globe is in its "as-found" condition. I haven't really cleaned or polished any part of it.
This globe is ready to hang and has its three base hinges attached. It could also be used as decor.
Size: 13H” x 9W”
