Take a look at your current thermostat's wiring by removing the faceplate. Most faceplates can be easily removed by simply pulling them from the mounting plate and checking if any wire is connected to the C-terminal. What is the best practice to wire my new device?

When removing your old thermostat, make sure to document the wiring before removal for reference when installing your new thermostat. To do this, you can use the wiring labels provided to mark the wires, use your smartphone to take a picture of your wiring (with thermostat faceplate removed), or draw a diagram to note which terminal each wire connects to.

Why is my heat pump not blowing the expected air temperature when using my thermostat?

How do I troubleshoot a blank Amazon Smart Thermostat display?

1) The display on your Amazon Smart Thermostat might dim when inactive. You can touch the display face to activate it and see the full display. To increase the brightness, you can adjust the display settings through the Alexa app. See Change the Display on Your Amazon Smart Thermostat.
2) Ensure that all the wiring is correctly connected per the instructions in the Alexa app. If your thermostat requires a C-wire, you may need to purchase a C-wire adapter separately.
3) Verify that there is no power outage and that your circuit breaker has power. Check the furnace board for any blown fuse amps, as this could also affect the functionality of your Amazon Smart Thermostat.
