Aluminum wool is useful for cleaning microscope filament caps or evaporator bell jars.
Aluminum wool is for polishing sheet aluminum, removing minor welding scars on aluminum surfaces. Useful for cleaning up corrosion and oxidation on aluminum windows and exterior storm doors and often used for polishing aluminum on aircraft.
Aluminum wool is also a unique abrasive cleaner for garden railings, stone steps and outdoor decorating sculptures, which may impart a finish as well on such substrates.
