These were used in a medical setting, but just about any type of file you would like to have a good way to store and use it could be used for. Made in Chicago. The chart area measures 9" wide and 12" long. There is a rubber piece extending on each side of the top to allow for hanging. The total width including these is 10". It would hold up to a little under 1" of papers comfortably. To use, you open and push down on the cover to open the spring. The springs are nice and strong. It is in nice condition. A few stray marks from use, storage, etc, and a wayward piece of tape here and there. I have several available and they are all in just about the same condition. The one pictured is a representive example. Very nice chart / paper holders.
