The wait is over! Back when we all first heard the hype about the new freecoaster planetary design. It was supposed to be the next big thing and for good reason. When it hit the market, it didn't take long to notice that it did not come without its issues. The popping and skipping, the squeak that just seemed to never go away unless you added a bit of lube only to find out that you may have just damaged your clutch because that model actually had to be ran completely dry to work properly. Back to the drawing board they went to come up with a new clutch design that meets all the expectations of the original but without all the drawbacks. The time has finally come with the new Alienation Venus V1.5 Planetary Clutch. This new clutch design features two slack options, you can choose from the standard amount of slack as the previous version or choose the lesser slack option if you like more of a cassette feel to your hub. The spring-loaded internals remove the need for an O-ring which means less maintenance and longer lasting performance. With the new and improved design, you can now lube your clutch as needed without worry of negatively impacting its operation.
