Quote from Philip Colston "Aerovox 95 or 97 L-C Checkers are rather unique instruments with a multitude of uses. The L-C Checker is essentially a band-switching grid dip oscillator with the wide range of 75KC to 44MC. The dip is displayed by an electron-ray indicator tube rather than a meter. There is a one-turn loop probe at the end of a coaxial cable, to couple to resonant circuits. These instruments work well and are very handy."
