New, old stock. This is complete, undamaged, never used, 96 piece master kit. The wax sticks were only ever removed from the box to take these photos. Master's Magic Company was bought out by Gemini Coatings years ago. Gemini Coatings still produces these wax sticks in the same formulation. But approximately half of the colors are no longer produced. So if you want the complete 96 color Master Kit, they are extremely rare. Current cost of these wax sticks is $3.31 each. Each wax stick is a different color. Each stick is about 4-1/2 inches long, 1/2 inch diameter, and weighs about 0.8 ounces. Each has a label on it identifying the color.
These wax sticks feature an exclusive blend of waxes offering superior
glide and a more durable fill. They are one third larger than most
competitor's fill sticks and provide an outstanding value.
Years ago, I was visiting an old friend of mine. He was retired from the military and had embarked on a new career. He was making doll house furniture. This is a very real thing. Top quality pieces command unbelievable prices. He had bought a nice array of miniature tools for his miniature furniture business. The big thing for him was he could house the entire business in his garage rather than having to rent a workshop that would be required to build full size furniture.
Anyway, he mentioned that these doll house miniature buyers were generally extremely picky and demanded perfection in the finished product. He had a set of these wax sticks there and he showed me how he used them to perfect any flaws in the products he produced. He had one of those alcohol torches like dental technicians or wax modelers use. They are inexpensive and easy to find. He showed me how he quickly and easily made undetectable repairs in the mini pieces, and I must say I was very impressed.
I immediately came up with a business idea. I bought a set of these wax sticks and practiced at home, repairing the cosmetic defects on my own furniture. In short order, I became very good at it. Then I went around my local area to furniture sellers and offered my services. I had taken close up photos of before and after repairs, and I carried them with me in a binder inside page protectors. I had immediate interest and was able to work on site at their businesses. My cosmetic repairs often increased the selling price of their furniture pieces substantially. It wasn't long until I had all the business I could handle.
I bought many of these wax kits and this is the only untouched kit I have left. Whatever your intended purpose, personal use or professional use, this kit will pay for itself in very short order. You need to have, or be able to develop a good eye for color. The lighting you work in is also important. Natural daylight is best (the northern sky), but there are many lamps and light bulbs available which reliably reproduce daylight. So you may want to develop your own lighting system like I did. Something simple, compact, and easily transportable is actually simple to come up with.
Don't miss out. I have not seen one of these 96 piece master kits in new condition for a very long time.
