This is for a two-piece agitator (upper and lower).   

These dogs "bite" the top of the agitator to allow the agitator to grab in one direction and freely spin it in the opposite direction, when these wear the top of the agitator will spin freely in either direction.

Replacement for numbers 285770, AP3119063, and PS388034.  

It will fit specific Whirlpool manufactured washer models including Kitchenaid, Roper and most Kenmore's.
