How to Clean and Care for Your Feather Boas:
After receiving your boas, remove them from the plastic bag (preferably outdoors) to shake out any shedding that may have occurred during processing and shipping. For the best results, hang your boa for 48 to 72 hours before use. The longer you allow it to hang, the fuller and fluffier it will look.
Feather boas are washable! To clean, gently hand wash in warm water with soap, then rinse with cold water. After washing, blot off excess water using a towel or paper towels. To maintain the boa’s fluffiness, finish drying with a blow dryer on a low heat setting. All of our feather products have been professionally cleaned, steamed, and sanitized for your convenience.
If the strings at the ends of the boa are too long, simply retie the string tightly close to the feathers and trim off the excess. This will not cause the boa to fall apart.
