At the beginning of the Edo period, (the 1600s) the Shamo's ancestors arrived in Japan from Siam, Thailand. The Japanese selectively bred those birds for strength and endurance for combat, resulting in the Oriental gamefowl breed Shamo.
I breed my stock towards ‘O Shamo’ which are the largest and tallest variety of Shamo. Most of them grow very large and tall, but I also have some that would be considered medium sized. I also boast a wide variety of color and genetic diversity. I cannot guarantee any color for your hatches and the birds pictured are the same from which your eggs will be from.
Healthy birds, pasture raised. I get very high fertility and viability rates here on the farm. Due to the fragile nature of shipped hatching eggs I can’t be responsible for your fertility/viability rates or hatch rates. It’s wise to let eggs settle for 24 hours prior to incubation once received from being shipped. I have no control of the performance of your incubator and handling. Hatching shipped eggs is always risky. By buying/bidding you agree
