NOTE:

I only have one 5A Flamed/Figured Honduran Mahogany Lower left, as seen in the first five pictures.  I was able to rough-out a qty. of three One-piece necks from the one 3"x4"x30" Luthier Billet.  Those two different necks are in the above, recent Vintage Les Paul Restorations Videos.  No doubt, the 5A Flamed Honduran Mahogany is extremely rare, and the tone and sustain for those two guitars is Master-Level, or as I always say, "Off The Charts!"

LISTING:

Pre-shaped, Master Grade, Quartersawn 5A Flamed Honduran Mahogany Les Paul, 335, SG, etc. Neck Lower per Vintage Gibson Profiles and Specs.  For any Custom Build or as a Spot-On Vintage Replacement for your damaged Les Paul/others.

Honduran Mahogany necks are always feather light, even though this blank has so much figure.  Ready for your vintage or modern 22 to 24 fret fretboard, and to be finished preferably by others, but let me know if you need a custom made fretboard, or other Build/Restoration work.

For certain I could Restore your; Les Paul, 335, SG, V, Explorer, etc., and repurpose any parts you may have using this neck lower, since I haven't shaped the Heel or Tenon yet.  So, feel free to contact and I could create a Private Listing per your needs.  Restorations average $2500 to $4500, and would be performed in a new Video Series.

Shaped per either early or late 50's Gibson profiles.  I typically shape them per; 59 Les Paul or Vintage 335, V, Explorer, etc., and per vintage Gibson Specs., but can Build to any dimensions you need.

GENERAL SPECS:

Headstock Profile per Stewmac 1959 Burst Templates, yet, I machine the headstock pitch at 17 degrees, which is historically accurate.  See the 69 SG Custom Video Series for my typical Hand-finished Custom Overlay work (So long as your project is an actual Gibson).

The double adjustable truss rod will be installed- precision straight and flat with neutral/no tension on the rod.  Truss rod channel bottom is radiused to cradle the round-bottomed rod, then a 1/16" Honduran Mahogany fillet is epoxied to the Lower- still allowing rod movement, but most importantly, reintroducing a solid wood surface to glue the fretboard to.

24.625" to 24.750" Historically Accurate Actual Scale, or Custom.

1-23/32" (43.5 mm) nut, or Custom.  I can extend to receive a Floyd Rose.  Otherwise, it would receive any standard width nut.

15/16" thick at 1st fret if you use a traditional fretboard, but could be cut down to yield as thin as 3/4" thick at 1st fret.

1-1/32" thick at 11th fret if you use a traditional fretboard, but could be cut down considerably for a much faster profile.

NOTE:

For my personal guitars I build a 59 Profile neck to finish out 7/8" thick at the 1st fret location, and just over 15/16" at the 11th fret location, and with a soft, rolled, somewhat flat C, and it feels great for any style.

4.30 degree pitch at 16th to 19th  fret location, per typical Gibson/Others Specs.  I can machine the neck to body location and pitch Custom (Less or more).  Regardless, I'll work with you to assure you get the exact angle you need, since there are some variables to be considered.

Extra long tenon at traditional 50s 1-1/2" width.  I can cut it down if you need a custom tenon width or offset.  I will also provide some scrap fillet material if you may need to rebuild your neck pocket.

Heel is typically 1-7/8" tall, so it will cut down to any finish height you may need.

I've been designing and Building/Restoring Custom and vintage guitars for about 30 years.  I was based in Nashville/Franklin,  TN between early 2000's to 2017- building hand-carved, hollow-body Jazz guitars per Robert Benedetto, Gibson, Gretsch, etc. Specs., and have shipped them worldwide since the early 2000's.

Thanks, and check out my YouTube channel for over 330 Vocational Design Build Guitar videos, focusing on 50's Replica Les Pauls, V's,  Explorers, Gretsch Jets, 6120's, etc., and if you're into building guitars.
