This sale is for a true, half wave end fed antenna transformer for 40-10 or 80-10 or 20-10 meters etc. The user can build the antenna they wish.
The completed antennas I sell with this same unit is rated at 200W PEP and 60W digital/CW@50/50 duty, less for higher duty modes nand is PERFECT
for both portable or permanent installations! The power handling capability you get with this box will somewhat be determined by the quality and tune of the element you build for it. I cannot promise this unit will handle 200W SSB because you are building the element and matching it. All I can say is what these are known to handle with my complete, tuned element.
You are buying the finished transformer ONLY! You add your element and tune it!
The box is sealed with a foam gasket and a very high quality SO-239 is used and sealed to the box as well.
As you can see from the picture the antenna box does come with the mounting eye-bolt wired for optional ground however with this type of antenna adding a ground or counterpoise will have little to no affect on the antenna tuning and is not needed since it's built as a DC ground potential antenna already.
Another advantage of this antenna type is the endless ways you can deploy it. I recommend a simple sloper installation and you can mount the box close to the ground with your element sloping upwards. When installed as a sloper you will see fantastic results if you can get the far end of the element up to 25' or more. That being said, you can install this antenna: horizontal, vertical, inverted "L", zigzag and more.
This is a very simple antenna to install and no extra instructions are necessary but if you do have any questions please feel free to ask. Simply secure a cord to the ground/ mounting eye-bolt and stretch out your element for your installation and secure it.
