One New 0.002" thick by 12 inch by 38 inch sheet cut from a 38 inch Wide Roll of a thin fiberglass fabric ptfe coated dupont teflon 38"x12" Used for Heat Sealer insulation there is no adhesive on this but it can be used like a tape to wrap or cover a hot surface provided it is secured at both ends.
Thin enough to see through , slick enough to reduce wear or abrasion as well as handle up to 500 degrees heat.
This is very thin material as you can see through it into the pattern of the countertop . It is permeable to the extent that air can pass through it.
It makes a nice abrasion resistant coating and barrier on a heat sealer but does have it's limitations.
I would not recommend pouring molten plastic or metal on it.
