Woodturning Semi-Hard Microcrystalline friction wax is blended with beeswax to create the perfect low sheen finish every time

PREMIUM PRODUCT - FraPete’s True Patina as all FraPete’s products are of the highest quality.

True Patina uses Local Beeswax from South Australia and a mixture of fine microcrystalline waxes, and with the FraPete secret blending process, you get the perfect low sheen finish. Frapete’s amazing True Patina wax stick is made in an ergonomic shape for easy use and wedged to start you off perfectly.

TRUE PATINA - has been around in our local woodturning circles and now has been released to the public. True Patina is part of the FraPete wax stick range that is making big noises in the world of wood turning. True Patina goes hand in hand with the other two wax sticks. Gloss Mate and My Wax Stick, all wood turners should have all three in their tool box. True Patina is suitable for all timber types.

BEST RESULTS - Always finish off your work with a fine grit sandpaper, the more you spend at this stage, the better your project turns out.

Finishing with a grit of 600-800 and more will create an amazing finish and always finish by sanding with the grain. You will have to turn off your lathe for this.
Whilst your project is spinning hold your wax stick and move it across your job, you will not need to apply too much pressure. Use a soft clock to remove excess wax. You know when you are done, when your work feels smooth and has a great Patina Sheen finish.

TRUE PATINA USES - FraPete True Patina can be used on all wood surfaces. Some have even used them on metal products as it has the benefits of coating steel surfaces, protects them, from the elements.
True Patina can be used with fine wire wool to achieve incredible results in making your woodwork look antique, and of course, have that aged patina look. You are only limited by your imagination.
True Patina is a remarkable product that can be used with other tools to create amazing effects.
It is suitable for food bowls, pens, and all your woodturning projects from the very delicate to the large robust items. It is a food safe product.

MADE IN AUSTRALIA - FraPete’s True Patina is made in South Australia from the highest quality and natural ingredients. We love working with wood and leather and demand great products that are the best and affordable. There is no compromise in the quality as many of our customers can attest to this. Directions

Always make sure that your work is clean and free of any objects, for the perfect finish make sure that you sand your work well and always finishing with the grain.
Sand using 100 to 120 sandpaper and eventually you can work your way up to a much finer grit. I finish with 600 and have finished to 3000 grit sandpaper.

Use sanding sealer if you desire, it is a preference by some and if you are using your project as a food item, just use the True Patina wax stick.

Place the wax stick to your work while the Lathe is spinning holding your wax stick against the project and along with it.
Buff and if needed repeat this process. You do not need to press hard down with your soft buffing cloth as this may remove some of the wax, and possibly burn your fingers.
Buff until you feel the object free of wax.
