  2k Acrylic Paint is a very durable hard wearing versatile material and not affected by UV rays it is also stone chip and petrol resistant,  once fully cured. The drying time can be determined by the type of 2k hardener used (Fast or Slow Air Dry)   We recommend the standard 2k Fast hardener, slow hardener is ideal for painting very large areas or use in low bake ovens. This paint will not dry without the use of 2k hardener.  Dust free time: This depends mainly on the type of hardener used and weather conditions but as a guide standard fast air dry hardener is dust free in 15 - 30 min  Slow air dry hardener 30 - 45 min. Winter conditions, rocket accelerator can also be added  It is also possible if required to cut and polish 2K Acrylic paint normally after 24 hours. IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING SOLVENT BASED PAINTS Please note it is against the law to use no-compliant solvent based paint and materials for refinishing / restoration of motor vehicles, unless the vehicle is classified as vintage ( over 30 years old ) or classic Exceptions: (1) None compliant vehicle paint / materials manufactured before 1 January 2007 can still be sold and purchased until stocks have depleted (2) To avoid the environmental consequences of disposing of none compliant materials Defra and the Welsh assembly granted permission ( August 2007 ) for Auto body repair / refinishing garages to use up any existing none compliant materials they have in stock. We can supply a full range of compliant materials to suite all our customers’ requirements including Water based paint. None compliant solvent based paints will still be available for customers spraying Industrial Plant and Machinery only.
