The ARC Barb-Spout

The ARC barb-spout features two innovative & improved design features that produce increases in sap yield:

The shorter barbed barrel taps into the outermost rings of xylem which has the most highly conductive region of sap and contains the highest concentration of stored sugar. The series of barbs along the shaft anchor the spout tightly within the wood and bark tissues and reduces the probability of spout heaving during deep freeze periods. 


The ARC provides for a smooth flow of sap, lowers the chance of blockage, and reduces head pressure loss by about 50% compared to a 90-degree fitting.
