2006-2009 Suzuki DL1000 OEM size is 525x112L x-ring chain, 17t Ft. Sprocket, 41t Rear Sprocket
2010+ Suzuki DL1000 OEM size is 525x112L x-ring chain, 17t Ft. Sprocket, 41t Rear Sprocket
For QUICKER gear ratio (off the line, roll on's, wheelies), use a 16t front sprocket or 44t rear.
(the -1t front sprocket change is more versatile because you can change back to the stock size 17t with same chain, the +2t or +3t rear sprocket change requires a different chain length, which needs altered to go back to stock)
For FASTER TOP SPEED, and LOWER HIGHWAY CRUISING RPM's, use a 18t front sprocket in a 530 conversion kit
(the +1t front sprocket change is more versatile because you can change back to the stock size 17t anytime with same chain,
Original Factory Supplied OEM size sprockets are the calculated "Happy Medium" of off the line acceleration, roll on's, and high speed engine rpm's with the least amount of compromise on either top end or low end acceleration
