For your consideration, we are offering for sale this 2000 Visconti Titanic R.M.S. (1st Edition) Limited Edition 466 of 1912 Fountain Pen in the Blue and Bronze celluloid pattern fitted with an 18K Medium Nib. This Visconti comes with the box, the Vintage Titanic literature, and a Warranty/Limited Edition card. This fountain pen has never been inked, and I consider this fountain pen to be in Mint condition.
This fountain pen is made from celluloid in the bronze and blue celluloid. The cap displays a brightly polished, heavy gold-plated trim with no wear. The top of the clip is laser engraved with the limited edition number, "466". The barrel is stamped with, "The White Star Line Flag, R.M.S. Titanic Visconti Firenze. LTD 1912". The cap secures to the barrel every time. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs to the pen. This Visconti Titanic fountain pen is the large size and measures 6 1/4" capped and 8" posted.
This Visconti Titanic R.M.S. Fountain Pen uses the patented Double Tank Touchdown filling system. This filling system uses two ink reservoirs, which was designed to eliminate the ink leaking during air pressure changes. I tested it with water and fills as it was designed.
The Titanic R.M.S. Fountan Pen comes with an 18K Two-tone Medium nib. The nib has a medium point measuring .88mm when using digital calipers. I have not inked the pen only to keep it in pristine condition for the next owner.
The boxes and literature that come with this fountain pen are in excellent condition.
The Visconti Titanic R.M.S. Fountan Pen is one of the more collectible and desirable examples made by Visconti. This fountain pen will be a "high-cachet" standout in one's Visconti writing arsenal collection.
