Shipping live garden snails requires careful consideration to ensure their safety and well-being. Here are the safest methods of shipping we can provide:
* Moisture environment: we added dampened, non-toxic substrates like leaf litter and veggie snacks to the snail container to maintain humidity and prevent dehydration.
* Ensure proper ventilation: There are small air holes included in the container, allowing for adequate airflow without compromising the security of the snails.
* Double packaging: The snail container is inside a cardboard shipping box, with a breathable Honeycomb Paper Cushion, This extra layer can provide additional protection against temperature fluctuations.
* Expedited Shipping option: the buyer has the option to choose express or priority shipping options to ensure the snails spend the least amount of time in transit, reducing their exposure to extreme heat.
* Timing: We plan shipment carefully to avoid extreme temperatures. always ship the snails early in the week to minimize transit time and reduce the chances of them being exposed to excessive heat over the weekend.
* The recipient can track the package's arrival date and time. Request that the buyer be available to receive the package promptly to minimize the time the snails spend in transit.
* Weather monitoring: I will keep an eye on the weather conditions at both the origin and destination locations. If extreme heat or cold is expected along the shipping route or at the destination, it may be best to postpone the shipment until more favorable weather conditions arise. If we do have to ship in tough weather, I suggest using ice packs or warm packs to keep the live snails at the right temperature during travel. You can buy extra ice or warm packs from my store if needed.

- It's essential that you inspect your items immediately upon receipt.
- The snails might arrive in a dormant state, with their flesh retracted inside the shell. To wake them up, just give them a brief rinse with a gentle stream of water for a few seconds. It's important to remember to always cleanse your hands with soap and water after any contact with the snails.
- If there are any concerns, kindly reach out to me before leaving any feedback. I'm committed to doing my best to resolve the issue. In the unlikely event that a snail arrives deceased, a clear, close-up picture needs to be provided to me within four hours of delivery for a replacement to be sent.
- The snails are intended to be purchased as pets or for educational use. By buying them, you are agreeing not to release them into their natural habitat without consulting your State's Department of Agriculture first. If for any reason you can't continue to care for them or if unexpected or unwanted offspring develop, please get in touch so we can arrange their return.
