Hood Lift Strut kit for 1981-1988 Monte Carlo. This kit features bolt up hood brackets that are billet CNC aluminum. The fender brackets are also aluminum and require drilling for installation. The kit includes stainless steel fasteners for all brackets. Total installation time is approximately 30 minutes for the kit.
This hood strut kit is a must for fiberglass hoods because the factory springs are way too stiff and will cause damage.
The struts in this kit take over lifting the hood once the hood has been raised 1.5ft, which is much sooner than the factory springs.
