This listing is for a rare Kurz Kasch dealer sample display. Kurz Kasch in the 1950's to 1970's was the largest knob supplier for the American musical instrument field. Everybody used them. Fender (guitars and amps), Gibson, Rickenbacker, Music Man, G&L, Peavey, MXR, Travis Bean, Acoustic Black Widow, Marantz are just a few of the brands that used their knobs.
This display was hung at the counter of an Indianapolis Kurz Kasch dealer. You could look at this display for a basic rundown of what was available. Touch and see what you liked, then find it in the catalog. All of the knobs are actual samples. Set screws hold them in place. It could be "parted out" for a decent amount of money. There is one particular Music Man knob on here worth $75 alone. I would rather see it preserved. Some time ago, I shared a photo of this on Instagram and received a couple thousand responses to it and hundreds of shares.
Wood base feels like countertop material. It is weighty. It is well made with a rubber strip wrapped around the sides to finish it off. The lettering is silk screened. It is in good, but well worn, yellowed condition. It does not currently smell like anything, but it did sit in a smokey electronics shop for a couple decades. The discolor is still there.
Sold as is.
