This is for an original circa late 1950’s early 1960’s Scripto
Vu Lighter featuring a Look Magazine logo which has never been used along with
containing its original sticker and presentation box. If you had a smoking
parent in the 1960’s, they either owned a Zippo or Scripto lighter. If they had
a Scripto, they would at least let you play with it since the Scripto Vu
lighters featured something inside the lighter you could play with, such as a
bowler or a dolphin catching rings inside the lighter. Look magazine was one of
the largest circulated magazines in the US and would be published between 1937
and 1971, around the same time as its main competitor Life magazine. Both the
box and lighter are like new so if you enjoy nostalgia, this will bring back
tons of memories. I have two lighters available in different packaging so buy
them both.
