This vintage Jewish religious poster from Haifa, Israel in 1952 advertises a celebratory prayer of thanks and illustrates the 12 tribes of Israel around the edge. It took place on the 4th day of Ayar in the year 5712 in the Hebrew Calendar, which is April 29, 1952 and that year was the day for the Israeli Independence Day (Yom Ha'Atzmaut). Today, the before Independence Day is Yom HaZikaron or Memorial Day or Remembrance Day for the fallen Israeli soldiers. This featured the singing of Yitzchak Mann (יצחק מן), a Hazzan (cantor) and opera singer.

According to the Hebrew this took place at the Central Synagogue on Gilad Street and was sponsored by the Chief Rabbinate and the City of Haifa.

This blue and white (with a little red) poster measures 19 1/2" x 25 1/2". Overall this is in very good condition with just a few small tears along the edges and fold lines from where it was previously stored folded. This will be mailed in a mailing tube.
