Offered for your consideration is a beautiful vintage original map showing the Polo grounds IV also known as the bathtub, home of the New York Giants National League baseball 1891-1957, New York Giants National Football League 1925-1955, New York Black Yankees National Negro League 1931-1946, Fordham Rams NCAA 1928-1954, and formerly the home of the New York Yankees, it also hosted the 1934 and 1942 Major League All-Stars games. Bounded by Amsterdam avenue to the west, the Harlem River to the east, 163rd street to the north and 157th street to the south. On the reverse is an adjacent neighborhood to the west as shown in the last photo. This vintage 16 1/2" x 11 1/2" land and street map is in VERY GOOD+ condition with light tone, soil, and a rough margin edge, on heavy paper, from the Atlas of New York City, Borough of Manhattan ©1934 by G.W. Bromley, also known as the Land Atlas.
