A lot of two letters from a DeWitt, Arkansas sheriff with 1933 dates, both referencing the failure of banks to open. A February 23 letter requests a stop payment on a check because the First Bank of Stuttgart "failed to open its doors this morning," and a March 10 letter advises "you will get your money just as soon as the banks open and agree to honor checks."
Good condition as shown with typical vintage corner and edge wear as shown, and toning from age. They display really well.
There are not a lot of these on deposit in institutions anywhere; an awesome addition to any collection. I ship every day the post office is open with your item safely packed and I always combine shipping.
