I’ve owned it since 1986.A wonderful object from pre-WWII days, many of the countries have changed names / borders since the globe was manufactured. Has the old steamship routes and other information of that bygone era. For example, as seen in the last image, the old steamship route from Zanzibar to Bombay [Mumbai], 2538 nautical miles. It does have a few minor issues from the passage of almost 90 years. Rub marks, minor paper losses, and a patina of age. Keep as is, or have a paper restorer repair.
Note that the original wiring was replaced in 1986.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
