"Republicans of the 25th District Should Vote a Split Ticket and Help Defeat Artemas Ward Jr.," 8" x 10" flyer published by the Equality League of Self-Supporting Women in 1910 (date extrapolated from the text).

Ward represented the 25th District in New York City from 1908 to 1911. Based on the content of the flyer, it was distributed for the 1910 election.

The League opposed Ward because of his record on various progressive and reform bills, including the suffrage bills of 1908, 1909, and 1910.

The Equity League was founded by suffragist Harriot Stanton Blatch, Elizabeth Cady Stanton's daughter. It was later renamed the Women's Political Union.

The flyer is in very good condition: Toned from age, folded into sixths, short splits at the ends of several of the folds, several corner chips. Not brittle but a bit fragile.
