This great 1904 souvenir fan has an image of an elegant woman offering a map of the original Louisiana Purchase plus a small world monument to the fair which includes an eagle design suspiciously like an Anheuser-Busch logo. The staves are lacquered, possibly cedar wood. The care taken in cutting the colorful lithographed design is remarkable.
